Camino Frances Day 5 – Pamplona to Puente la Reina

Alto del Perdón

Camino day 5 kilometre 91. You walk lot further than the guide book distance. Walked 25k today in sandals my right big toe only lasted 500m in shoes. Now at Puente la Reina. It is still 36 deg at 5pm a long hot walk lots of stones and rock paths again.

Checked out the sculptures at the Alto de Perdon

We walk about the same pace so stayed together until we got here.

Accommodation still very difficult to find. Met up with Becki at Alto del Perdon (750 Mtrs) who was at Orisson the first day. turns out her two latest walking companions had to stay in Pamplona to rest and had beds booked at Puente la Reina. Accommodation problem solved for tonight!

Will take some photo of the bridge in Puente la Reina this afternoon as we will be off before first light tomorrow.
