Yesterday we saw some snow capped mountains in the distance and decided to take the hymermobile on a test drive in that direction. We just took any road that went in the direction of the mountains.
The hymermobile performed brilliantly now pulling up the hills in 4th and 5th gear! So we just kept on going toward the snow capped mountains, through some quite narrow country roads that went through small Spanish villages. After a 100k or so we ended up in the town of Olot where we stopped as it was getting dark (the mountains were further away than they looked!! We stocked up with supplies at a local supermarket then drove the 100k or so back.
Today we spent this morning cleaning the Hymermobile, Steven washing and polishing and Trish cleaning ceilings and blinds. but did not get much done.
Late afternoon we went for our walk which took us along the esplanade along the beach with a calm sea today as the wind had dropped to only a very light breeze. It was still only 13C. I guess that is still double what it is in the UK in the evening.
We walked along the marina where pleasure vessels were moored and along the break wall where fishermen where hoping to catch the evening meal.
Although most were still closed a few Cafes, bars and restaurants were now open in the town and people were starting to appear.
We took different route back to the caravan site and again were witnesses to a spectacular deep red sunset.
Tomorrow we head North towards Dieppe and the ferry back to the UK.
