Bournemouth Air Festival

Red Arrows Bournemouth Aug 2011
The last couple of days we have been staying at our base in the UK at Steven’s Cousins catching up with domestic chores cleaning the Hymermobile, washing and some minor repairs.

Our return was timed to coincide with the Bournemouth Air Festival. This festival is held over 4 days at the beachfront with air displays every afternoon and evening. Our first outing was on a very rainy Thursday with the air display being cancelled.

Friday was a much better day warm and sunny perfect for sitting on the beach with our hosts and watching an air display, old aircraft, precision flying teams and the Red Arrows display.

Our Saturday night out was again to the beachfront for the evening displays and fireworks.

A great event although it can be crowded at times. It was very sad that one of the red arrows team crashed and was killed just before landing back at Bournemouth Airport
